State health directors have led the COVID-19 response coordinating measures with governors nationwide. Ohio's response has been largely data driven in effort to put lives first. Gov. Mike DeWine, Lt. Gov. John Husted and state health director Dr. Amy Acton hold daily COVID-19 briefing typically at 2 pm on the Ohio Channel and on YouTube.

A statewide “stay at home” order is now in effect until at least April 6.

Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton signed the order on Sunday March 22nd, DeWine announced at his daily news conference in Columbus.
